Learning about software engineering and working with data was something I should have done A LOT sooner. The challenges of analysis is well worth the insight it brings to individuals, teams and businesses alike. It's also very rewarding finding patterns that lead to meaningful change at multiple levels of an organization. I'm hoping to continue learning more about analytics, eventually dabaling data pipeline/modeling/warehouse engineering, as well as in data science. I enjoy all aspects of analytics and software development; and I firmly believe I'd excel in any tech adjacent roles.
This site is a dedication to myself. It's meant to show my journey and experiences as I grow and improve. The 'Projects' page is using a model to procedrally generate code as I add projects to a sqlite3 database using Django's Superadmin functionality.
Working with Django was a lot of fun, mainly becuase I really enjoy Python. Once I got the hang of how to leverage the admin portion of Django, I really started thinking about other ways I can improve my databases. Also, for as hard as it was, learning about server maintenance/infrastructure in AWS was a lot of fun and well worth the hair-pulling confusion it gave me.
I had to restart this revamp a couple of times because I had trouble with organizing my templates and static files. Obviously, the views and urls was confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it, I really saw the power of frameworks. I also found it hard learning AWS and navigating through it's many services. As of right now, I'm still trying to figure out how to route all traffic through HTTPS using AWS Certificate Manager and Cloudfront.
